City provides additional curbside green waste pick-up and waives two-load limit for residential green waste drop off

HONOLULU – The City’s Department of Environmental Services (ENV) will offer additional curbside pick-up for residents to dispose of tree branches and green waste caused by Tropical Storm Lala. Pick-up will be offered on two Saturdays: August 22 and August 29.

This service is for residential pick-up only. Residents must call 808-768-3200, Option 0 to schedule an appointment by Thursday, August 27.

What can be picked up:

This program is only for large tree branches and trunks resulting from the storm. Please prepare debris as follows:

  • Branches and trunks up to 9 inches in diameter: cut into 3-foot sections
  • Branches and trunks thicker than 9 inches in diameter: cut into 1-foot sections.
  • Place debris curbside by the night before your scheduled Saturday pick-up.
