The Waimānalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill is closed due to weather

HONOLULU – In response to severe weather impacting O’ahu, the City and County of Honolulu Department of Environmental Services (ENV) has closed the Waimānalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill.

This closure is being implemented to ensure public safety. Any additional closures or changes to operations will be announced as conditions are reassessed.

Regular curbside refuse collection will continue as scheduled. Gray, blue and green cart pick-up will not be impacted at this time.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed by signing up for HNL Alert, the City’s official emergency notification system.
